In January of 2004, as a considerable number of Troop 210's scouts reached the age of 14, advanced in rank, and sought new and more exciting challenges, a Venture Crew was formed to offer advanced outings to those who possessed the strengnth and skills to participate in these strenuous activities.

Although most Crew members have a scouting background, the Venture Crew is open to both boys and girls who are 14 years old and have completed the 8th grade, even if they have no prior scouting experience.

As we are lucky to live in the foothills of the Applalachians, Venture Crew 210 does a lot of backpacking. But we put it to good use: in 2006, we spent a week in New Mexico, at the Double H Scout Reservation. In June of 2007, we spent ten days at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Venture Crew 210 meets on the second Sunday of each month, (schedule permitting) 3 p.m. at the Scout Room at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Visitors and guests are welcome at our meetings.
